The Toto W-Series vinyl windows (1998-2012) use a proprietary cam-lock and keeper set with a 7/16-inch backset that doesn’t interchange with later T-Series hardware. T-Series units from 2013-2019 switched to a standard 1/2-inch multipoint lock channel, but the striker plates are still Toto-specific. The current Toto Pro line (2020-present) uses European-style tilt-turn hardware with a 20mm spindle spacing - a spec we verify with a caliper before ordering, because 15mm and 20mm spindles look identical until the mechanism is exposed.

To identify your unit, look for the etched mark in the glass corner (format: TT-W-XX-XXXX) or the foil label inside the frame head. If the label is gone, we measure the sash thickness, track width, and lock backset, then cross-reference against Toto’s parts matrix. For weatherstripping and rollers, we typically source OEM-equivalent parts from AmesburyTruth or Truth Hardware - same DuPont Zytel nylon formulations, same stainless roller axles, at roughly 60% of Toto branded pricing. Signs Your Toto Windows & Doors Is Failing

• Frame corners show separation or caulking failure. Vinyl expands roughly 4 times more than glass. After 15-20 years of thermal cycling in Irvine’s 40-degree seasonal swing, the mechanical corners loosen and the sealant bead cracks. Water intrusion follows, usually at the sill.
